Dr. Langs principal field of study is post-war Italian contemporary architecture and design history. He has written extensively on the sixties Italian Radical design movement and organized major exhibitions in this field. Active in urban theory, Lang has worked on recent trends in globalization and their impact on the city and in suburban contexts. His other interests include the evolution and documentation of informal architectural and urban productions in Asia, Europe and the United States and most recently the U.S.-Mexican borderlands.
